A Data Center is only as good as its diverse connectivity. At Digital West, the network was engineered for diversity, survivability, and availability.

• Diversity: We secure our network through three local carriers - each with diverse fiber optic entrances into our Data Center (from 3 different sides of the building). For backbone redundancy, we provide access to four major carriers using separate northern and southern paths out of San Luis Obispo. This network diversity ensures maximum network uptime for our business customers.
• Survivability: With 10 Gigabit per second capacity to our major peering partners in Silicon Valley and Los Angeles, Digital West provides fail-over routing for all traffic running on our network to guarantee that your business stays on-line. The network was configured to guard against any single point of failure at the shared network level - we have a redundant core architecture and MPLS is used to switch high-speed traffic to and from the Internet and adding traffic engineering capabilities to the network.
• Availability: To allow us to guarantee our customers 99.999% uptime on our network, we maintain more than enough available capacity to be able to route around even the largest of internet routing issues.

As a carrier neutral facility, we can assist you in choosing the proper technologies from any carrier. We then provide any "glue" needed to tie together all your network resources and maximize the value of your business' network expenditures.
