Setting up Outlook Express 6 for a Digital West Hosted Domain
From the menu select Tools then select Accounts from the drop down list. The Internet Accounts dialog appears as a result

Click the Add button, then pick Mail from the next popup. Fill in the your name in the space on the first page of the Wizard dialog, then click Next.

Fill in the new email address on the second page, then click Next

On the third page of the Wizard, take the default (POP3) as the incoming server type and fill in the incoming mail server as pop.digitalwest.net. For the outgoing mail server, except under special situations you should use the SMTP server that you have been using for email from your ISP. Click Next.

In the next page of the Wizard dialog enter the username and password for your email account. The username should be the same as your email address. If your computer is not located in a physically secure place, you should uncheck the "Remember password" option. Click Next, then click Finish on the next page.

After the mail connection is defined using the above, you may want to do some additional configuration. Select the Mail tab from the Internet Accounts dialog and highlight the account you have just created. Then click the Properties button. On the General tab the display name will default to "pop.digitalwest.net" (the name of the incoming mail server). You may wish to change this to something more meaningful. Fill in the other fields as appropriate to suit your needs. Click Apply.

If you connect from more than one location and you are setting up the email account for a secondary location, you may want to change the delivery options on the Advanced tab to leave messages on the server. Just remember that you should have some provision to delete the messages. You could use the options provided by OE, or you could have a primary workstation which is configured to remove the email messages after it downloads them. Please do not let email accumulate on the server until your mailbox becomes huge and starts causing you access problems.

If this is not the only email account defined in Outlook Express, you will find a From field available when you are composing your message. If you only have one email account defined in OE this field does not appear. If the email address you want to use for your outgoing mail is not the default, use arrow at the right side of the From field to select the desired one from the list.
