NETWORK OPERATIONS CENTERKirk Coviello, VP Support ServicesMr. Coviello came to Digital West Networks with a great depth of industry knowledge in telecommunications, microcomputers, and data networks. He has worn numerous hats within the technology sector, getting his start right at the heart of Silicon Valley. During that time, he orchestrated an audit of Apple Computing Company's outsourced data center to improve their operational efficiency. The company he worked for happened to be a direct competitor of the existing outsourced data center. He still denies that corporate espionage was either a motivating factor or an accidental benefit of the audit. On the Central Coast, Mr. Coviello was a Senior Sales Engineer at Arrival Communications for six years where he was consistently recognized by the company for his efforts to keep customers connected and happy. In 2006, he joined the well-respected team at Digital West and built their Network Operations Team up to 24/7 coverage, continuing their world-class services. In 2007, he was promoted to Vice President of Support Services for Digital West. "I wanted to work for Digital West Networks because I could see that they walked the talk of customer satisfaction," he says. Mr. Coviello is currently serving proudly on both the Workforce Investment Board of San Luis Obispo County: …and the Board of Softec: Ask him sometime why he regrets that all of his neckties are intact… James Kemper, NOC SupervisorJames was another summer 2007 addition for the 24/7 NOC staff. James has a varied work history, covering many different positions from caretaker to customer service. James has a friendly and honest approach to coworkers and customers, and always strives to give his best in customer support. Since being promoted to NOC Supervisor in April of 2010, he has really contributed to the NOC team's development and cohesiveness. Chris Goodwin, NOC Technician IChris Goodwin is the newest addition to the Digital West NOC team. Chris comes from a theatre background having done local commercials and other acting gigs in the San Luis Obispo area. Though his previous employments mostly included acting, his passion was science. After hearing that people actually got paid for maintaining T1 connections and troubleshooting managed networks, he knew he had found his dream job. Chris’ extracurricular interests include physical fitness, writing, and singing loudly in his car (with the windows closed, to protect the ears of the public). Chris is now pursuing a degree in computer science and is excited about being a part of Digital West. |
